I had fun doing that when I was little too. Once, we were just about to put new flooring down in my mom's kitchen and before it went down mom let me write all over the old floor with a red sharpie. Great fun.
That's cool! I remember rollerskating in the dining room before the hardwood floor was finished. It was fantastic! And, for the record, I still haven't cleaned off the window.
