Orangey tomatoes!
X went to Cub Scout Day Camp. Sweaty boy heaven. Archery and BB guns every day. Crafts. Soap carving. Pocket knife reward at the end. You probably can't see him, but he's under the American flag. This was the day that his group got to do the closing and take down the flag. On the last day, he got into the car and said, "Can I come next year?!"
Tiny and slightly pink strawberries!
One of the things (besides work!) that Mara and I did while X was at camp. We met up with friends at the downtown fountain. She LOVED it!
Our first summer reading club day at the library. Can you see X? We LOVE our library and our librarians! As a bonus, X and M's times are on the same morning, right after each other. It is so fantastic. On this particular morning, the special guest was teaching them some sign language, and then read a book with sign language. She was really fun!
Sharing an ice cream cone. X had gone to trade in his toy for an ice cream, and he wanted chocolate. He walked up to the counter by himself to ask for it. I saw him talking to several of the workers, and it was taking longer than usual. Then he walks back with a vanilla cone, but it was covered in whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles! They didn't have chocolate ice cream, so they made it extra special for him. It was really funny! Also, please notice X's fantastic "player 2" shirt. RJ has a matching "player 1" shirt.
Popsicles after camp one day. Please notice M's AT AT shirt and Darth Vader shoes!
More park! This is how she played most of the time, stepping on the outside sprays.
